Today my classmates and I went to UM to listen to a talk on Geology... It is quite an eye-opener cos i alwaz thought they just study the rocks but i guess there is more than that... It actually sound quite interesting but don't know lar... Somehow i can't imagine myself studying rocks only for the rest of my life...
I still feel guilty... Cos we had to leave the talk when the programme was only half way thru... What happened was we were told that the whole "geo talk" thing is only until 12.30pm... Being the "considerate" students, all my classmates decided to sign up for the talk so that there won't be any teaching and the teachers can have a rest (kind rite...) But of cos not all are interested in geology... So naturally not many turn up today... We went to UM and discover that we are the only school there other than from TAR college... But that didn't bothered us much... Then at 12.35pm when they gave us lunch break, we took the opportunity to leave, taking for granted that it is okay to do so... Then as we were walking out of the building, one of the organizer (UM student) called us back... Asking us to stay because there are more activities and it will only end at 4.30pm... But none of us wanna stay back and as she was running in back into the building to try to discuss with our teachers, my friends and i straightaway get in the car and drove away... Apparently there had been a miscommunication... The teachers told us that we can leave at 12.30pm when actually the programmes end at 4.30pm... So majority if not all of the students wanted to leave at 12.30pm... I'm not sure whether there were any students that stayed back cos my friends and i were one of the first to left the place... It was not entirely our fault though... cos if we knew that its gonna last till 4, we wouldn't have sign up!!! But still we felt bad cos if no students stayed back, then all their hard work will be useless... I guess they will never wanna invite us to UM anymore... Haihz...
Other than that, it was just another usual routine week... What "usual" meant to my class is:
1) ppl dancing to trance music at the back of the class (don't ask me where the music come from)
2) having a tuneless "radio"... (u see... the radio will "replay" a song again and again and again for atleast one week...but i'm not complaining... atleast we are being entertained.. ;D )
3) and the latest... guys playing frisbee in the class using RUBBISH BIN'S LID!!! ( beware the head if don't want to be like Nearly-Headless Nick...)
