The Catcher In The Rye

This is a new book that i just read... The Catcher In The Rye by J. D. Salinger... I've been wanting to read this book ever since i read that Gerard Way likes this book and always read it whenever he feels depressed... I was very curious as to what type of book a rocker will find comforting...

So i was really lucky when i manage to find the book in the library... And so i've started the book and finally came to the ending just awhile ago... And honestly, I'm not too sure how someone cheers up when they read this book... I thought it was pretty depressing actually...till the final part... =_="

Almost every sentence in the book, there's "goddamn" and "it kills me"... But i got to admit that the writer does has a refreshing way of describing things... And the narrator of the story views life in an original and interesting way...

So... I guess in a way i know why Gerard likes this book... I don't think he will like books like Harry Potter or some fairytales... Cos then, it will just be a fairytale...

There's one quote that i like though... At the end of the book... Which makes the whole story not bad at all...

Don't ever tell anybody anything... If you do, you start missing everybody... So true...
