Hangzhou - Shanghai (1)

I wanted to blog about my last day of work in the SCB USJ branch 1st but since that is one day i will rememba for some time, that can be done later. Better to blog about my trip while i still have vague memory about it. My whole trip to China is for 16days. I had to leave my hse bout 6am to reach the aiport by 7am. The flight to Hangzhou is about 5hours.

We reached Hangzhou bout 1pm. We stayed in Tour'An Backpacker Hostel. We straightaway went out to explore the city. We got to try one of their fast food shop that sells dumplings. It was really cheap and yummy =D

At Hangzhou... The Tour'an Backpacker Hostel..

The next day, we took their sort of bullet train to Shanghai. We were unlucky cos we can't seem to find the hostel we booked~ UCool Hostel. Their direction was misleading. We walked for 1hour plus with our big heavy backpack, trying to find that bloody hostel. Luckily the weather was cooling. The hostel is really lousy. The caretaker is really useless and tried to cheat us. It's just too bad cos I actually like their dorm beds (forgot to take pic though). At nite, we went around the Bund and took pictures of the Pearl Tower (note to whoever teased me about my camera, i've already learnt how to use it a day before my trip ;P )

Nite scene... The Bund and Pudong island... there was a bunch of ppl celebrating a newly wed..

On the 3rd day, 27/4, we checked out to another hostel ~ Shanghai Youth International Hostel. Once again i forgot to take pic of the hostel *slaps forehead*. But it was much beta than UCool. Then we went out to People's Square and Nanjing Road Underground Pedestrian Shopping Mall. The place was crowded and i don't think shopping in Shanghai is cheap unless you are looking for things that are made in China, but we can buy these things in "pasar malam". I have to admit though that they have a wide range of fashion but they are abit pricey cos most of them are international branded clothes. One really scary incident happened to us while we were walking back to the hostel at nite. When we reached the hostel, we realised that all 3 of our bags' side pocket zips were opened!!! Thank god, we left the passports in the locker and we neva put anything valuable in that compartment. From that day onwards, we alwaz carry our backpack infront of us.

On the 4th day, 28/4 ~ We went to Yu Yuan to shop before we went to buy train tickets to Suzhou. While on the way to the station, we saw their double-decker sight-seeing bus. So we sat it.
Dumplings... Lots of dumplings... Different type from different places..

Yu Yuan...

The double decker bus... It was really chilling cos the wind was blowing strongly...

Shall continue more later... ~~~>
